Depreciation is the hot topic of accounting—time to get familiar
“Walk me through how $10 of depreciation flows through the 3 financial statements” is a classic accounting technical. Understanding how different assets / liabilities / expenses interact with each financial statement is critical!
Strong fundamental understanding of each component allows you to interpret advanced accounting Qs you may not have specifically practiced
While delivering the correct response is best, an interviewer will appreciate a candidate who talks through their thought process to reach an answer—don’t give up! Take a step back and use what you’ve learned to solve tricky questions, demonstrate perseverance and curiosity ⚡
